Holiday Inn Express Mackinaw City, an IHG Hotel

The location was very convenient. It's close to downtown but it's also not on the strip with all the other hotels so it doesn't feel over crowded. Everything was super clean but didn't smell chemically. The water didn't make my skin super dry and the air wasn't super dry either which was nice. It looks like it was recently renovated.

I chose this facility primarily for the shuttle that travels to and from Shepler's ferry. But, I was very happy to sleep in a clean, well-appointed room. The big breakfast that was provided was exceptional! It was a nice extra to find water or muffins at the front desk in the morning. Most of all, the dry sauna and hot tub were a highlight of our trip.

Clean. I can’t complain, the other places around here are dirty, expensive and rude. This place is clean, offers breakfast, has Dove shampoos and nice staff. Go during off season or you will be paying a morgage for one night stay anywhere around here, which isn’t worth it. I come here to get out of the house. Anyway, this place is better kept.

Breakfast was unusually substantial. Selection was broad. Hot items could have been a little warmer. All in all, it was a very satisfying meal. The accessibility room was fine. I would say that a walk-in shower with safety handles would be better than stepping into a tub.

The hotel and room were immaculate! The beds were comfortable and the sheets were amazing. There was a full breakfast with so many options. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I have traveled all over, and this hotel was by far the BEST ever! I am already planning my next stay at Holiday Inn in Mackinaw City.
